Converting existing CBK to HBK
CINTOHIN is designed to convert a G compressed bank (.cbk, .cin)
currently in existence to a G hashed bank. Hashed banks are now the
standard data banks I.E.R.F. regularly creates and maintains.
Usage:
cintohin <compressed_bank>
where,
<compressed_bank> should be used without extension.
For example, if you currently have the Quarterly National Accounts
compressed bank (nipaq.cbk, nipaq.cin). To convert it into hashed bank,
you simply type:
cintohin nipaq
and you will have the hashed bank version (nipaq.hbk, nipaq.hin).
Like compressed banks, the hashed bank can be updated by HSPLICE
program, which is included in PDGSUP of the PDG package.
